It is a time for commemorating and encouraging the study, observance and celebration of the vital role of women in American history.  From Susan B. Anthony to Sojourner Truth to Gloria Steinem, suffragists and activists have made their mark on history in their mission to achieving equality.

This month the Minneapolis Department of Civil Rights will celebrate the accomplishments of women that have made great contributions both to society and the women’s rights movement.
